Know Your Mobile has trotted out August 7th as their roulette number
for the iPhone 5 announcement, citing “reliable sources.”
As the summer rolls on in the northern hemisphere,
we’re bound to get an increasing number of moonshot
guesses and purported announcement date claims for the iPhone 5.
You’ll recall that last summer,
CNET UK infamously staked its reputation
on the iPhone 5 being released on a specific day in September.
We now have our first post-WWDC iPhone 5 announcement date guess.
The claim comes from Know Your Mobile, who tells us the following:
“Apple will announce the iPhone 5 on August 7, Know Your Mobile can exclusively reveal.
A reliable industry source who wishes to remain anonymous revealed to Know Your Mobile
that Apple’s highly-anticipated and much-rumoured iPhone 5 will be launched via
a keynote speechon August 7.”
Make sure! Let’s go with that! 7th August seems as good of a date as any, right?

Pegatron Technology has received order from Apple for 15 million iPhone 5 units
Its been reported that Pegatron Technology has received order from Apple for 15 million iPhone5 ′s and production to start immediately and a ship date set for September. It is still unclear what new spec’s or design changes if any will be present. Apple in the post has showcased the new iPhone hardware at the WWDC in June but this year not a mention of the new the iphone 5 hardware. If a ship date is set for September we should expect an official announcement in the coming days/weeks.

iphone 5 to have duel led flash
It has already been reported that the iphone5 will be shipping with a new 8 mega pixel camera and a new repositioned led flash. New reports are coming in the the new iPhone in addition is going to have a duel led flash. All the camera enthusiast are going to love this as am I. I am glad Apple is taking care to improve the iPhones camera capabilities. I for one love taking photos but never really liked to rely on my iphone to capture the moment. However with some of the new camera improvements coming in iOS5 for auto exposure, zooming and quick access shots, and improved hardware in the iphone 5 its going to become more useful as an every day camera. No more having to lug around and extra device. Nice!

iphone5 coming in August with radical new case design
Reports are coming in from sources that stat that apple is preparing for a media event for Early August to announce the next iPhone that would launch and have a release date at the end of August. This is really cool news. In addition its been reported that the next iPhone will have a new radical new case design. So is your curiosity peeked, well mine is for sure. This breaks way from many rumors that stated iPhone 5 will have the same form factor as the iphone4 and only slight hardware changes inside. So the next question would be is it the iphone4s, iPhone5 or will they have a brand new name for it.

Last week apple held is annual developer’s conference which often is were they announce new products. It was already rumored that the iphone was going to be delayed and there was little hope that apple would make an iphone 5 announcement. However they did announce and preview the new future for ios devices with the preview of ios5 and what is coming. Some pretty exciting new features were announced for the new osincluding their new icloud service. iOS 5 is scheduled to be released in the fall so one would assume the the iphone 5 will be released shortly there after. I’m sure over the cominmg weeks and month all kinds of new information will leak and with luck maybe some actuall photos of teh new iphone 5 prototype.
