iPhone 5 release
It looks like even Verizon can’t keep a secret about the upcoming
iPhone 5 either. We expect all sorts of information to leak out from
these infamous foreign websites via components....

iPhone 5 adapter needs to be free
There are many advancements needed with the iPhone 5 although one
thing we really need is increased battery life, and Apple’s latest
patent approval could be a signal that the company is advancing in that
direction. Apple filed a patent a couple of years ago, which has just
made its way online with approval and focuses on power adapters as seen
in the image below. This would allow for more space inside the iPhone 5
and of course more room for a bigger battery.
Some people thought the smaller connector could be a Thunderbolt port, although there doesn’t seem much of a need for this data transfer speed on an iPhone and certainly not in 2012. The patent drawing above shows that the connector port has a triangle end so you know what way the connector fits, although most Apple fans know these drawings don’t always detail the finished product. You can read the patent abstract below, or see the patent details on the official website here.
Would you like the smaller connector port to give the iPhone 5 better battery life? One thing is for sure and that is Apple need to offer any adapter for free with the iPhone 5. If consumers bother to upgrade to a 6th generation iPhone after investing in accessories for previous generations, then it makes sense for Apple to deliver new iPhone hardware with adapters if the port changes size. Any option that means paying for an adapter after buying the new iPhone 5 would be ridiculous.

We have known for a while about a new power and data port, which is
likely to make its unveiling when the iPhone 5 sees a release this fall.
When we heard about a new 19-pin connector last month
it had also been met with mainstream media spinning a negative
headline, which focused on the impending disaster iPhone owners would
face when this change makes all their current accessories useless.
These reporters obviously don’t understand Apple or might not know
what an adapter is, which we published an example of a possible iPhone 5
adapter that would allow most old accessories to work with the new
iPhone 5 connecter port. You can see that concept photo below and also a
few more details in the article here,
which mentions the person that came up with the picture. This is a
simple solution and one we’re sure Apple have plans for already,
although in their own design of course. Some people thought the smaller connector could be a Thunderbolt port, although there doesn’t seem much of a need for this data transfer speed on an iPhone and certainly not in 2012. iPhone 5 release date window with worthy specs
The Apple hype machine is in full speed and it seems there are conflicting reports over the start of production,
which had been rumored to have started already although a new report
claims that won’t happen just yet considering the iPhone 5 is in an EVT3
stage of engineering. The same source points to an obvious iPhone 5
release date window, which is fall 2012 and this is also the consensus
most technology blogs agree on.
At the time of writing we only know the iPhone 5 release date will land this fall, and other than this launch window the date is unknown. Apple will not plan the final date until nearer the time, so any blog claiming they know is blowing hot air. Do you feel the iPhone 5 needs Near Field Communication technology?
from: http://www.product-reviews.net/
We have seen a number of engineering samples, like this metal block,
and we believe Apple have produced a number of samples with varied
designs, so while the so-called iPhone 5 leaks reveal at lot the specs
should be taken with a pinch of salt. One of these samples would likely
be the final 6th generation iPhone design, but only Apple know exactly
what will arrive when the phone launches this fall.
BGR is the blog we mention above and their “trusted source“,
most websites seem to have these this year, states that the new iPhone 5
specs will include 1GB of RAM, which is double what we have in our 4S.
We should also see 4G LTE, this had been obvious considering the iPad 3
received this upgrade, and another feature that has been debated is NFC.
We have heard a lot of conflicting reports about NFC, and last we heard
the iPhone 5 would miss out on this technology, although this latest report claims it will be there. At the time of writing we only know the iPhone 5 release date will land this fall, and other than this launch window the date is unknown. iPhone 5 simplifying supply logistics
Apple is growing rapidly and the company is entering unknown
territory for a technology company in terms of worldwide sales and
market cap, and the iPhone 5 is expected to be the biggest release date
for any Apple phone yet. This means the company is actively planning on
simplifying its production process, and saving time and money in small
ways can make a massive difference considering the scale Apple are
working towards with the iPhone 5 launch.
Improving the technology that goes into an iPhone 5 can also save time and money, and Apple looks to be doing this in a number of ways, which includes using “In-Cell” technology to simplify supply logistics. Normally Apple would use two suppliers for its iPhone display, and this includes one for the LCD screen and one for the touch panel.
The new tech within iPhone 5 allows for Apple to use one supplier by combining both the touch and LCD into one panel, which is apparently called In-Cell technology. This means Apple can use less suppliers and create a display that is 0.5mm thinner, so if you want to learn more about this tech then head over to this article for more insight.
There had already been signs of a display change for the iPhone 5, more than just increasing the display size, and this had been shown thanks to PK Holding Co. and Wintek Corp. not receiving orders for the next-generation iPhone. These companies were behind the iPhone 4S display and won’t be supplying the touch-panel for the iPhone 5.
Currently it’s not clear how this change will affect iPhone users when they get their 6th generation iPhone, but we’ll certainly know more nearer the release date, which is expected to land within the next 2 to 3 months. If you’re looking to upgrade your phone and looking at Apple then we recommend holding off considering how close we are to a possible iPhone 5 launch. We reported earlier today about the iPhone 5 front panel altering FaceTime thanks to a reposition, which you can read more about here.
from: http://www.product-reviews.net/
We’ve heard from a number of analysts in 2012 and a few of these have
produced figures for predicted sales of the iPhone 5, and while these
figures vary each analyst clearly expects the biggest launch for Apple
yet. One of the latest reports predicts the iPhone 5 already has 80
millions sales lined-up before the device has launched, which are from
dedicated fans and expected buyers discovered through surveys. You can
read a breakdown of these figures here, although this is another clear sign of the massive number of units Apple need to deliver this year.

The iphone 5 now in production
One of the final phases the iPhone 5 will enter is production and it
looks like this is exactly what stage the phone is in right now, and the
moment we get an iPhone 5 release date you’ll see devices ship direct
from China. Expectations for the launch month are October, which is in
fitting with last year although the Apple press event will be a couple
of weeks before the device starts shipping.
Other clues for the new design include glass on certain parts and an aluminum surface on the faceplate, but the small hole between the flash and camera had been missing in the claimed final design. We’ve heard previously that a small hole could be related to a patent, which would protect Apple against fake insurance claims. It is possible that the hole has been made less obvious, and less likely to get water inside by rain etc.
The bottom-line: We’d expect the formation of iPhone 5 to have started by now, so this latest rumor could be a shot in the dark. Are you looking forward to a new iPhone in 2012?
from: http://www.product-reviews.net
The news of production starting comes from a Japanese website called Macotakara.jp, and they claim they have a “reliable Chinese source“.
They also mention that final design cases are starting to appear on
certain websites, which includes Alibaba. As per normal this is just a
rumor but then you shouldn’t expect much else until the press event,
although it makes sense that Apple would enter production now
considering we have a couple of months left before entering possible
launch months.
Apple will be using all its resources to form the new iPhone 5,
especially considering this model will be a much bigger upgrade than the
4S, and some analysts expect the iPhone 5 to be the biggest product
launch in history. Macotakara also mention a number of designs have been
in testing, so this would explain the range of leaked photos we’ve seen
in 2012, which have displayed a lot more diversity than previous years.
Some of the latest leaks showed a center camera, but the majority of
pictures show the camera in the same place as the 4S with a slight
movement.Other clues for the new design include glass on certain parts and an aluminum surface on the faceplate, but the small hole between the flash and camera had been missing in the claimed final design. Price of iPhone 5
There are a number of people that are hoping to see the iPhone 5 take
a price cut when compared to the pricing of the 4S model, and this
could be due to a weaker economy, or even because the previous iPhones
have been priced too high in their opinion. Strangely enough you’ll also
find buyers that love the higher price and it makes them feel like
they’re getting something more expensive.
Could we see Apple launch a cheaper iPhone 5 in 2012, which is more than a discounted older model? The aging 4S model is likely to get a more attractive price later this year when we see a release date for the new iPhone 5, just like the 3G did last year, but some people might find this aging design too old for their liking and hope to see a new iPhone at a more competitive price that takes on certain Android smartphones.
The exact iPhone 5 release date will never be known until a keynote launching the device arrives, any blogs claiming they know it are talking rubbish or have Apple’s CEO on speed dial, but the pricing structure of the next iPhone is a little more predicable. You should expect AT&T, Version Wireless, and other US carriers to attach a similar price for the iPhone 5, which would be around $199 (the same as the current 4S model). It’s worth noting we are also hearing that T-Mobile is likely to get the new iPhone in 2013.
I
t’s not that bad – considering the new specs expected with iPhone 5 the price is not that bad, and a lot of new technology is expected when the new iPhone arrives, although with Apple’s “watch and wait” approach to some tech you’ll see people complain about specs. Some people thought the 4S model had not been a true 5th generation upgrade, and this is the very reason the 6th generation expected in 2012 is commonly known as “iPhone 5“. The next phone should bring the biggest changes in a couple of generations, and that would also include a long needed design change. Having owned all generations of iPhone we welcome any change.
If you’re worrying the change will be too drastic then you have nothing to worry about, which is due to most leaked images, specs, and other rumors touting a slight change. You can expect the iPhone 5 to keep the same width but increase in length slightly, although you could see the edges redefined slightly to bring more design appeal. The new iOS 6 could be a change that’s enough for some people thanks to the massive amount of new features, although NFC is still being debated and looks like it might not be included.
Would you be happy to see the iPhone 5 release this year with a similar price to the 2011 model, or would you like to see a cheaper mini-iPhone launch as well?

Early iPhone 5 release date changes tactics
The whole world is expecting Apple to unveil the iPhone 5
at around the October time, to follow the company’s release pattern
with that of the iPhone 4S. Now imagine the huge shock amongst consumers
if Apple now decides to change that and release the next generation
iPhone a few months early.
Let’s get the good news out of the way first, as the Galaxy S III be arriving on Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and US Cellular sometime in June. There’s no set release date yet unfortunately, but we do know that the ‘starting’ price for the device will be $199 on contract – although some other carriers may vary.
It means that we shouldn’t have any problems regarding stock issues that have plagued other Samsung devices launching in the US in previous years. It will essentially come down to which carrier suits you the most and of course, which one offers the most incentives for you to secure their purchase. You can bet that the likes of Sprint, Verizon and AT&T will all be conjuring up plans right now to make their version of the device the most appealing and it can only mean good things for the consumer in terms of value for money.
Another piece of good news is that we can confirm that the US version will be getting 2GB of RAM as well. You may remember that we recently reported on the fact that Canada was getting the 2GB RAM upgrade as well after it was first confirmed for Japan. While that is obviously great news, there is a bit of potential disappointment for those that are not aware of the processor change.
Just like the HTC One X, the US version of the Galaxy S3 will only be getting a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor – not the quad-core Samsung built Exynos processor that the International Galaxy S3 has. Although it is widely believed that LTE incompatibility is the sole reason behind this move, Samsung has yet to officially confirm this as the case.
At the end of the day though, a dual-core processor shouldn’t stop you from picking up this device as it will still be the best Android phone out on the market regardless. The main question that you should be asking yourselves now is – which carrier suits you best? Signal reception is going to be key of course, but customer service also plays just as big a part in a consumer’s deciding factor.

secret of iPhone 5 design
After countless image leaks of the next generation iPhone 5, it is safe
to assume that we can now look forward to the iPhone 5 having a bigger
display screen at long last. We’ve seen plenty of renders showing the
rumored design, but now we have a full ‘leaked’ gallery for you to drool
over.
The amazing thing here is that nobody seems to even be too surprised any more when new alleged pictures of the iPhone 5 show up. After the infamous prototype iPhone 4 story, iPhone picture leaks are now treated as your average daily tech post and even Apple themselves have probably given up now on trying to conceal every little image or component part from becoming public knowledge.
By now, you must all have a general idea of what the next generation iPhone is going to look like after previous image leaks. For a brief refresh, we’re expecting that three panel back cover with aluminum materials on the middle part. The display screen has been expanded by height, but the device should still carry the same width and there’s still no strong evidence on that desired edge-to-edge display.
The headphone jack has moved from the top of the device to the bottom, while the speaker grills have been redesigned and it looks like Apple are going to introduce a brand new connector dock as well, one which is smaller in size than the current 30-pin standard.
These are all details that you already know about right? We expected that, but what you may not have seen yet is a full on gallery featuring all of these details up close. Obtained by the guys over at KitGuru, the model seen in the images are thought to be of a pre-release test model – which basically sounds to us like a prototype iPhone 5.
As we mentioned above though, we have a feeling that Apple has given up trying to track down every single leak, plus this model shown here is not in the final design stages as the iPhone 4 prototype that Gizmodo famously purchased a few years ago. With just a few months to go before the expected unveil this Fall, we would be very surprised if we see any more pictures showing a completely different design.
Take a look and let us know your thoughts on them. Have you now accepted that this is likely to be the final design choice for the iPhone 5? More importantly – are you happy with it?
